Arrive at Leh by flight and you will meet our representative at the airport. Traditional welcome at the hotel and you will be served with welcome tea and coffee. Take a complete day rest to get acclimatized to the high altitude of 3524 Meters (11,500 ft). Later, in the evening you can visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Bazar for orientation. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel.
After early breakfast, head towards the east of Ladakh to visit Alchi (958-1055) Likir and Spituk Monastery. Alchi is 70 KM east of Ladakh on the Srinagar-Leh Highway (NH1) and is situated on the bank of river Indus. It is said to be oldest and most famous monastery of Ladakh. After the detailed tour of the monastery you can have lunch in Alchi and drive to visit Likir monastery. In the end you can visit Spituk Monastery which is also known as Kali Mata Mandir (the monastery having a giant statue of Kali Mata which is only unveiled during the annual Spiritual Festival). Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel.
After early breakfast you will drive for Nubra Valley as early as possible.It is about 135 km from Leh and you will be going via Khardong La(18,379 ft) which is the world highest accessible road. Reach Diskit (headquarter of Nubra valley) by noon and check in at the hotel/camp and savour delicious lunch. In the evening you will visit Diskit Monastery and Sand dunes in Hunder Village from Diskit. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel.
After breakfast you will start your journey to Turtuk which is about at a drive of 3 hours from Nubra. It’s the last Indian village on India - Pakistan border. Turtuk was captured by Indian army in the 1971 war from Pakistan. This village has a similar culture and language to Ladakh culture. The religion of Turtuk is mostly Nurbakshi Muslims. You will arrive in village Turtuk by the afternoon and check in at the hotel/camp where your dinner and overnight will be arranged.
After breakfast, you drive back from the same route to Nubra and then towards Leh via Kahrdong La Pass. You will reach Leh by the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel, itself.
After early breakfast, you will head for Pangong Lake which is 149 kms from Leh en route visiting Thiksey Monastery. The Pangong Lake is situated at the height of 4350 meters (14270 ft) in the Changthang region of Leh district. The lake is hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130 KM long. It is bisected by the international border between India and China. The saline water lake is at the height of 4,350 m (14,270 ft) and has a brilliant color variation including deep blue and turquoise. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel/ camp.
Leave Pangong after breakfast and drive back towards Leh from the same route. At the Karu road junction, drive across the Indus and take the road to Hemis. Visit the famous 17th century Hemis Monastery which is one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh.
After early breakfast, you will head to the Kushok Bakula Leh airport for your return flight. Tour concludes!
